LPL Financial Draws $330M Ex-UBS FA Team

LPL Financial has lured a financial advisory team, which was previously affiliated with UBS Wealth Management, where they oversaw $330 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets.

Financial advisors Conley Thornhill, Doug Rathbun, and Nikki Rathbun Paxara have joined Linsco, LPL’s W-2 channel, to launch Winter Haven, FL-based Paxara Wealth Partners.

The firm provides “comprehensive” wealth planning, retirement planning, financial planning, and wealth management-related services to high-net-worth clients, including business owners, physicians, executives, and retirees.

Additionally, the team also includes wealth associates Joseph Kolad, Kelly Castle, and client service associate Ashley Aycock, according to the firm’s website.

“LPL allows us to elevate the client experience, collaborate more effectively and advocate for clients across areas like lending – without being limited to a single provider,” Rathbun said.

Additionally, Paxara Wealth Partners chose LPL because of its technology, advisor independence, and resources, which allow them to function without proprietary product restrictions.

LPL’s recent addition comes days after the broker-dealer nabbed LaGrange, GA-based Capital Investment Services from Raymond James, where they collectively managed $775 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets.

Earlier this month, LPL reported in its first quarter earnings, which ended on March 31, that it remains “on track” for its full onboarding of Commonwealth Financial Network for the fourth quarter of this year.

LPL serves over 32,000 advisors, including advisors at approximately 1,100 institutions, and custodies roughly $2.3 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets, the firm said.
