Kain Capital Names Brett Cummings CFO and CCO

Kain Capital LLC, a private equity firm focused on technology for healthcare services companies, has hired Bret Cummings as chief financial officer and chief compliance officer.

The 30-year investment manager will be responsible for all finance-related activities and manage Kain’s compliance program.

“Kain has a proven investment strategy in the healthcare industry supported by a track record of success, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth,” said Cummings.

Cummings has held several C-suite positions throughout his career. Previously, he was chief financial and compliance officer at Macellum Capital Management, chief financial and operating officer at both Health Circle Capital Management LLC and Irvine Capital Management Inc. and chief financial, operating and compliance officer at Sage Asset Management LP.

The NYC-based firm also added veteran healthcare professionals Dennis Nesta, Anne Barr and Long Thai as advisors to Cummings.
