Juniper Square Launches AI Oversight Agent to Streamline Private Fund Administration
Juniper Square has launched Admin Oversight Agent, Fay, an artificial intelligence tool designed to automate the review of private fund financial reporting, helping general partners reduce operational risk while significantly shortening fund administration workflows.
The launch follows the company’s June introduction of Headless GPX, which opened its private markets fund operating system to third-party AI applications selected by general partners.
According to Juniper Square, the new oversight agent is designed to minimize reporting errors that can lead to financial restatements, auditor rework and investor communications. The company said the platform reduces financial statement review time by approximately 80%, allowing chief financial officers and controllers to focus on exceptions requiring professional judgment rather than manually reviewing every document.
“Manual processes are highly error-prone, add cost, and when those errors reach LPs, damage hard-earned trust,” said Michael Megaw, senior vice president of enterprise platforms at Juniper Square. “The Admin Oversight Agent replaces manual reviews with AI-powered, expert oversight, saving time and giving GPs confidence that what leaves their desk is accurate.”
The tool was developed by Juniper Square’s fund administration team, which oversees more than $300 billion in assets under administration, and now reviews every client deliverable produced by the firm’s administrators before distribution.
The AI platform analyzes financial statements, partner capital account statements and supporting workbooks, performing more than 150 automated accuracy and consistency checks. It identifies discrepancies ranging from calculation errors to mismatched balances across reporting periods while providing citations to the underlying source documents.
The Admin Oversight Agent is included for Juniper Square fund administration clients and can also review files produced by third-party administrators or internal accounting teams without requiring additional implementation or system integration.
