Janney Adds Six-Person NJ Team Managing Over $550M
Janney Montgomery Scott LLC announced it has added a six-person advisor team from Merrill Lynch with more than $550 million in client assets.
Montvale, NJ-based Market Street Advisors consists of John Fetherston, SVP/Wealth Management; Louis LoGrasso, SVP/Wealth Management; Jay Day Jr., SVP/Wealth Management and Irwin (Casey) Wolf, SVP/Wealth Management; as well as account executives Pramvera Ruiz and Jeff Russo.
“The addition of this experienced team further demonstrates Janney’s reputation as a destination firm for leading advisors seeking an entrepreneurial and client-focused culture with the resources of a large firm,” said Bruce Milstein, complex manager for Janney’s New York City region.
Milstein, who formerly oversaw Merrill’s Paramus & Associates business before leaving for Janney this year, also mentioned that he has previously worked with the Market Street team.
Fetherston entered the industry in 2000, when he registered with Merrill, according to his BrokerCheck record.
Day has been in the business since 1987, when he joined Morgan Stanley. According to his BrokerCheck record, he has also been registered with Merrill.
Wolf has been in the industry since 1976, when he registered with Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. He has also been registered with Kidder, Peabody & Co., Drexel Burnham Lambert, PaineWebber, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill.
LoGrasso worked out of a Merrill office in Paramus, NJ, prior to his retirement in 2021, which corresponds to the other three advisors’ tenure at the same location, according to their registration documents.
