J.P. Morgan AM Launches Managed Futures Plus ETF
J.P. Morgan Asset Management launched the JPMorgan Managed Futures Plus ETF on the Nasdaq, offering investors combined exposure to U.S. equities and a managed futures strategy within a single fund structure.
The JPMorgan Managed Futures Plus ETF, trading under the ticker JPFP, is designed to provide portfolio diversification through a managed futures allocation alongside exposure to large-cap U.S. stocks.
The fund’s managed futures component uses proprietary quantitative models to establish long and short positions across global equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities. The equity sleeve provides broad exposure to U.S. large-cap stocks through direct equity holdings and equity index futures.
“Managed futures have historically shown low correlation to both stocks and bonds, suitable for advisors looking for ways to diversify beyond traditional portfolios,” said Travis Spence.
JPFP carries an expense ratio of 59 basis points and is managed by the firm’s Quantitative Solutions team, which operates within J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s $529 billion Multi-Asset Solutions group. The portfolio management team includes Yazann Romahi, alongside Kartik Aiyar, Wei Li and Garrett Norman.
“JPFP brings an approach we have used extensively in our multi-asset portfolios to individual investors in an ETF,” Romahi said. “It’s designed to complement portfolios across market cycles by helping investors maintain equity exposure while adding a managed futures strategy for diversification, especially during periods when traditional asset classes face headwinds.”
