Invictus Capital Partners and Moore Capital Announce $500M Investment for Mortage Loans
Invictus Capital Partners, an alternative credit asset manager, has partnered with Moore Capital Management to invest about $500 million in “newly originated” residential mortgage loans.
The investment from Invictus comes in collaboration with the Moore Specialty Credit platform, which is the private asset-backed finance platform of New York-based private investment management firm, Moore Capital Management.
As part of the investment, the platform will acquire mortgage loans secured by Invictus’ platform. Following the partnership, the MSC team will be granted access to Invictus’ platform’s loan sourcing, credit underwriting, and securitization capabilities, the firm said.
“Recognition from a partner of Moore Specialty Credit’s caliber affirms the depth and relevance of the opportunity Invictus sees in residential private credit,” CEO Michael Warden, said. “This sector is increasingly viewed as essential for investors seeking diversification and durable yield within alternative credit, and we are pleased to partner with MSC on this opportunity.”
Last June, Invictus launched its Insurance Solutions division, which is led by the firm’s senior managing director Carl Bell. The launch comes as the industry aims to address the growing concerns and interest regarding Invictus’s partners and company prospects.
Invictus, founded in 2008, manages more than $20 billion in gross assets and employs over 200 professionals across residential debt investments, including high-yielding and distressed loans and bonds.
