ICE Launches Private Credit Data Platform With Apollo
Intercontinental Exchange is stepping deeper into private markets with the launch of ICE Private Credit Intelligence, a new data platform designed to improve transparency, pricing and analytics across the rapidly growing private credit ecosystem.
Backed by Apollo as an anchor partner, the platform is intended to create a data infrastructure layer for private credit that more closely resembles the accessibility and standardization found in public credit markets. ICE expects to expand participation by onboarding additional originators, asset managers and capital markets participants in the coming months.
The platform will offer secure, permissioned data sharing, along with scalable tools for data distribution and extraction. Over time, ICE plans to enhance the platform with performance analytics and pricing insights, enabling more robust portfolio management and risk assessment.
Chris Edmonds, president of ICE’s fixed income and data services, said the initiative is focused on addressing key gaps in the private credit market by leveraging ICE’s data capabilities alongside a leading institutional partner.
Apollo, a major player in private credit, views the development as part of the asset class’s next phase of evolution. Eric Needleman, partner and head of Apollo Capital Solutions, indicated that as private credit continues to grow, the market will increasingly require standardized data and infrastructure to facilitate ownership and trading in ways that resemble public markets.
The launch builds on Apollo’s broader push for greater transparency, including a secondary trading effort introduced last year that has already supported nearly $10 billion in transaction volume.
