Hightower to Acquire $275M Valley Financial Group

Hightower Advisors has agreed to acquire Valley Financial Group, a Pennsylvania registered investment advisor overseeing approximately $275 million in assets under management, as it continues expanding its fully integrated Hightower Signature Wealth practice.

Based in Ambler, Valley provides wealth management and financial planning to individuals, families, business owners, corporate employees and first responders across the Philadelphia region. The practice has operated for approximately 30 years.

Valley’s employees will join Hightower Signature Wealth and continue serving clients from the firm’s Ambler office.

“HTSW gives us greater scale and expanded capabilities while preserving the personal relationships that have always been at the heart of our firm,” said Kevin McGarry, Valley’s managing partner.

Signature Wealth provides centralized investment management, financial planning, technology, compliance, marketing, operations and client-service resources. The structure allows advisors to become part of an integrated national practice rather than manage each operational function independently.

The transaction marks Signature Wealth’s second external acquisition of 2026. In March, Hightower agreed to acquire Journey Strategic Wealth, a firm managing approximately $5 billion, in the platform’s first purchase of an outside practice.

Hightower launched Signature Wealth in October 2025 as a national employee-advisor channel complementing its traditional partnership model.

Following Valley’s addition, Signature Wealth is expected to manage approximately $40 billion across more than 35 locations, with over 160 advisers nationwide.

Hightower CEO Larry Restieri said the deal demonstrates the platform’s appeal to established firms seeking additional scale and long-term continuity.

Chicago-based Hightower expects to announce further Signature Wealth acquisitions before year-end.
