Hightower Naples Joins The Bahnsen Group in $1.1B Move

Hightower Naples, a Naples, Florida-based wealth management practice with about $1.1 billion in assets under management, has joined The Bahnsen Group, a Hightower company, and will operate under the TBG brand.

Hightower Naples is the first existing Hightower advisory practice to join TBG under Hightower’s flagship franchise model. The move gives TBG its second Florida office, after Palm Beach, and follows the closing of Hightower’s acquisition of TBG. The transaction is expected to close at year-end.

When Hightower announced the TBG deal in April, it said it intended TBG to serve as a hub for integrating like-minded advisory teams. The Chicago-based firm, which has about $352 billion in client assets, expects to announce more acquisitions into TBG in the coming months.

Managing directors and partners David Emma and Mark Masterson founded and lead Hightower Naples, which serves high-net-worth families, business owners, senior executives and professional athletes. Since joining Hightower in 2011, they have grown the practice to more than 100 families.

David Bahnsen founded TBG in 2015 as a lift-out from Morgan Stanley with about $600 million in client assets and eight team members. The firm now manages more than $10.5 billion and has more than 100 professionals across 13 locations.

“We have been deliberate about expanding into markets where we see significant long-term opportunity,” said Bahnsen, founder and managing partner of TBG.
