
GTCR Makes “Significant” Investment in Liquidity Management Specialist R&T
Private equity firm GTCR has made a “significant” investment in R&T Deposit Solutions, a provider of tech-enabled liquidity management, deposit funding and securities-based lending programs for banks, credit unions, broker-dealers, trust companies and wealth managers.
GTCR will own 50% of R&T with the remaining 50% held by existing shareholders, which include Estancia Capital Partners and R&T’s founding team and employees.
New York-based R&T also announced that Susan Cosgrove will join the firm as executive chairperson, effective October 1. Cosgrove will work with CEO Joe Jerkovich and other members of management.
“We believe that R&T is well-positioned to accelerate its already strong growth trajectory and we have tremendous conviction in the caliber and capabilities of R&T’s leadership team,” said Mike Hollander, Managing Director at GTCR.
Since its inception in 1980, Illinois-based GTCR has invested more than $25 billion in over 270 companies. The firm currently manages more than $35 billion in equity capital.
