GS Power Partners Secures $51M Tax Equity Financing for Community Solar Portfolio

GS Power Partners has closed on more than $51 million in tax equity financing from funds managed by AB CarVal to support a portfolio of community solar projects spanning three states, providing additional capital for the expansion of distributed generation renewable energy infrastructure.

The financing will support an approximately 41-megawatt portfolio consisting of eight community solar projects located across New York, Maryland and Illinois.

The financing was structured and executed by Greenprint Capital as part of a broader tax equity partnership between Greenprint and AB CarVal focused on supporting clean energy development.

GS Power Partners, an independent power producer backed by CVC DIF, develops, owns and operates distributed generation solar assets across the United States. The company has been active in expanding community solar projects that provide local residents and businesses with access to renewable energy without requiring on-site solar installations.

“Closing this complex financing across three states underscores our strength in connecting capital to productive energy projects, and our commitment to delivering DG solar assets that meet the highest standards of compliance and accountability,” said Nick Kamphaus, general counsel of GS Power Partners.

CRC-IB acted as financial advisor to GS Power Partners. Stoel Rives LLP served as legal counsel to GS Power Partners, and Leverage Law Group acted as legal counsel to Greenprint Capital.
