Ground Control Expands Music Platform with Nashville Deal
Wealthspire announced that Ground Control Business Management has acquired Nashville-based Wiles + Taylor & Co., a music-focused business management and tax consulting firm serving touring artists, songwriters and industry executives.
The transaction strengthens Ground Control’s capabilities in tour operations, royalty administration and complex global revenue structures, while expanding its U.S. footprint beyond California as part of a broader strategy to build a nationally recognized music business management platform.
“Wiles + Taylor adds a high-caliber team on tour operations, royalty administration, and the real-world complexity behind modern music income,” said Chris Bucci, CEO of Ground Control. “Together we can offer a more seamless model with precision at scale and with the discretion and high-touch service our clients expect.”
Founded in 1986, Wiles + Taylor advises clients on touring structures, global revenue tracking, royalty income and catalog transactions, as well as insurance and risk considerations tied to domestic and international touring.
“As touring and global revenue streams grow more complex, artists need advisors who understand both the details and the broader strategy,” said Dwight Wiles, president of Wiles + Taylor.
The addition of partners Steve Eggart and Kevin Dalton, along with approximately 65 employees, enhances Ground Control’s support for artists navigating personal finances, touring logistics and international operations.
Wiles + Taylor will continue operating in Nashville, a key music industry hub. Ground Control remains part of Wealthspire’s integrated platform while operating under its own brand.
