Former BDT, Credit Suisse Execs Eye $850M for Citation Capital Fund
Citation Capital, a private equity firm founded by former senior executives from BDT and Credit Suisse, is reportedly looking for $850 million for its inaugural fundraise.
The Texas-based firm is in talks with potential investors about the vehicle, according to Bloomberg, which cited unnamed people with knowledge of the matter.
Citation intends to use its investment team’s sector experience to target consumer, industrial, business and financial services, as well as select retail transactions.
Tiffany Hagge and Lydie Hudson, both longtime veterans of the alternative asset industry, formed the firm in 2022.
Hagge, the firm’s managing partner, was previously a dealmaker at BDT and has worked at Goldman Sachs Merchant Bank and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
Hudson was most recently on Credit Suisse’s executive board and had several leadership positions at the firm, eventually overseeing around $240 billion in fiduciary product solutions for the firm’s individual, institutional, and corporate clients.
Citation has so far supported Ownership Works, a non-profit organization focused on employee shared ownership.
