First Manhattan Adds $300M Jackson, WY RIA to Platform
First Manhattan, which oversees more than $36 billion in client assets, has welcomed Beddow Capital Management, a registered investment advisor managing over $300 million in assets under management.
Edward Beddow will join First Manhattan as Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, continuing to advise clients from Jackson, Wyoming. He brings nearly four decades of experience in financial markets.
“Ed has built a thoughtful, client-centered practice that has been driven by successful fundamental investing over many decades. Just as importantly, he recognizes the benefit of joining a firm with the scale, infrastructure, and institutional stability that reinforces and enhances what he already does well,” said Zachary Wydra, CEO.
Beddow began his career in investment banking at Dean Witter & Co. before focusing exclusively on investment management. Over time, he developed a concentrated, high-conviction strategy centered on intrinsic value, disciplined capital allocation and long-term ownership.
The addition of Beddow Capital Management extends First Manhattan’s reach in the Rocky Mountain region and deepens its bench of fundamental, research-driven portfolio managers serving affluent families and long-term investors.
