Fidelity Partners with Vestmark to Offer Open-Architecture Portfolio Options
Fidelity Investments has teamed with Vestmark to offer its open-architecture custom models through Vestmark’s portfolio platform.
The platform will grant select firms, registered investment advisors, and broker-dealers access to its semi-liquid interval funds, SMAs, ETFs, and mutual funds, within a single portfolio and custodial account.
Specific participating firms will be able to utilize the platform at no cost through Fidelity, according to Vestmark.
“With growing demand from advisors for more tailored investment strategies, Fidelity continues to lead in scalable customization and advanced portfolio construction,” Amanda Robinson, head of wealth advisory managed solutions specialist distribution at Fidelity Investments, said. “Through this strategic relationship with Vestmark, we’re excited to expand access to open-architecture custom model portfolios for RIAs and broker-dealers, including semi-liquid alternative investment products.”
Recently, Fidelity Investments made a similar move by incorporating alternative investments in its custom model portfolio for its broker-dealer and registered investment advisors through Envestnet’s wealth management platform.
In July, Vestmark collaborated with iCapital, BlackRock, and Dynasty Financial Partners to launch a tax-managed Unified Managed Account that integrates private assets alongside public market vehicles.
The UMA would enable advisors to blend subscription-based alternatives with ETFs, mutual funds, equity SMAs, fixed income SMAs, and direct index SMAs—all within one tax-managed portfolio, to deliver institutional-grade investment access and operational simplicity within a highly scalable framework.
