Fairpoint Hires Mike Drennen as Chief Wealth Officer

Fairport Wealth, a Cleveland, OH-based Hightower advisory business, has appointed Mike Drennen as its chief wealth officer.

Drennen will assume executive leadership responsibilities previously overseen by Matt Logar, who was named CEO in April.

Drennen will oversee the advice, growth, marketing and training functions previously led by Logar, including more than 30 direct reports across Fairport’s five offices.

“Mike brings tremendous experience in supporting advisors and empowering them with the counsel and resources needed to grow their practices while inspiring families,” said Logar.

Before joining Fairport, Drennen worked at Hightower as an executive director on the advisor engagement team. Prior to that, Drennen served as Vice President of Business Consulting at Carson Group and spent eight years at Fidelity Investments as a member of the National Accounts relationship management team.

Fairport Wealth, which was managing over $3.6 billion in assets as of March, became a Hightower business in 2017. The firm has made several of its own M&A deals, establishing many offices throughout the US, including Cleveland, OH; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Harrisburg, PA and Princeton, NJ.
