Exus Buys 306MW Pennsylvania Wind Farm Portfolio

Exus North America acquired 306MW of active wind farms in Pennsylvania, greatly expanding its owned and operated renewable energy portfolio.

Exus Management Partners, a unit of Madrid-based renewables asset management and development firm, purchased three wind farms totaling 244 MW from Vitol, including the Highland North, Twin Ridges, and Patton sites, as well as Oppidum Green Energy’s 62-MW Cambria wind farm.

Three of the wind farms will be repowered throughout 2024 to 2027, with Vitol providing tax equity financing.

The purchase is consistent with Exus’ transition from asset management to renewable independent power producer after its recent acquisition of New Mexico Renewable Development, which includes a 15-project, 625MW solar portfolio from PNM Resources and American Electric Power.

“This acquisition underscores our dedication to intelligently expanding our renewables footprint, while continuing our commercial transition to an established independent power producer in the region,” said Jim Spencer, president and CEO of Exus North America.
