Ex-Centerbridge Real Estate Head Launches Real Assets Firm

Billy Rahm, the former senior managing director and head of real estate at Centerbridge Partners, has launched Everview Partners, a new private investment firm that will focus on U.S. real asset investments.

Everview Partners will focus on investments in residential real estate, storage, logistics, leisure, digital infrastructure, transportation, and energy transition. The firm will have the flexibility to invest in both equity and debt, enabling it to deploy capital across the entire capital structure of companies and properties.

In addition to Rahm, who brings over 20 years of leadership experience from Centerbridge and Blackstone, the Everview Board of Directors includes Marne Levine, the former chief business officer of Meta Platforms, Inc., and Richard Wallman, the former CFO of Honeywell International.

The investment team includes several industry veterans, such as David S. Cohen, former managing director at Brookfield Asset Management, who led the Alternative Real Estate team; Komal Sankla, a former principal at Blackstone; Austin Zurlo, a former VP at Starwood Capital Group; and Gregory Ressa, who previously served as partner and head of the real estate practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

Everview Partners has also added several experienced professionals to its team, including Jeff Gelfand, former Centerbridge partner and CFO; Meghan Olson, former managing director at Centerbridge and BlackRock; Heather Petersen, who previously held director roles at Centerbridge and Durable Capital; Melanie Posner, former principal and legal counsel at Davidson Kempner; and Samantha Levien, former executive assistant at Centerbridge.

The firm is in the process of forming an advisory council and operating resources group to offer additional support to both its investment team and the leadership of its portfolio companies.

“Real assets will continue to feel the impact of a changing cost of capital, technological and demographic trends, policy changes and geopolitics,” said Rahm. “Our real estate, private equity and credit experience combined with functional and operational expertise positions Everview to navigate this transforming market. We’re excited about the journey ahead.”
