EQT Extends Evergreen Push with New Infrastructure ELTIF

EQT is expanding access to private infrastructure markets with the launch of its second European Long-Term Investment Fund, an evergreen vehicle designed to channel capital from individual investors and institutions across the EU and European Economic Area.

The new fund, EQT Nexus ELTIF Infrastructure, extends the firm’s Nexus Infrastructure strategy into the ELTIF structure, offering lower minimum subscription thresholds than traditional closed-end funds. The vehicle is set to be distributed through private banks, wealth platforms and intermediaries when subscriptions open in May 2026.

At launch, the fund will include a seed portfolio of approximately 50 companies, providing diversified exposure across EQT’s Value-Add, Active Core and Transition Infrastructure strategies. It will also incorporate the firm’s recently announced AI infrastructure strategy, reflecting growing investor demand for digital and next-generation assets.

That AI strategy is anchored by EdgeConneX, with EQT seeding the vehicle through a minority stake transfer from its Infrastructure IV and V funds. The inclusion underscores the increasing convergence between infrastructure investing and digital economy themes such as data centers and connectivity.

The launch follows EQT’s September 2025 debut of a private equity ELTIF focused on healthcare, technology and services companies across global markets. With the addition of the infrastructure vehicle, EQT now manages seven evergreen strategies spanning private equity, infrastructure and real estate.
