Envestnet Unveils Model Portfolios Featuring Interval Funds
Envestnet has unveiled a new suite of professionally managed model portfolios featuring interval funds, broadening advisor access to alternative investments through its WealthTech platform. The new portfolios are available via Envestnet’s Strategist UMA (Unified Managed Account) and Fund Strategist programs.
Two inaugural model suites—developed with Franklin Templeton and BlackRock—will launch in 2025, with Fidelity Investments and State Street expected to join the lineup in 2026, reflecting growing advisor demand for institutional-quality alternative solutions in retail-accessible formats.
Franklin Templeton Multi-Manager HNW Portfolios
Structured within Envestnet’s Strategist UMA framework, these models feature five risk-based portfolios ranging from Conservative to Aggressive, each incorporating a strategic 10% allocation to alternatives. The portfolios deliver streamlined access to private markets—without subscription documents—and offer simplified tax reporting and institutional diversification for high-net-worth clients.
BlackRock Multi-Asset Income with Private Markets Models
Offered through Envestnet’s Fund Strategist Program, these portfolios feature $25,000 minimums and combine public and private credit, covered call strategies, and dividend-oriented equities across three risk-based allocations (40/60, 60/40, and 80/20). The models are designed to provide flexible liquidity, consistent income, and access to private markets without operational complexity.
“As public markets continue to shrink and private markets drive innovation, advisors require a broader toolkit to deliver diversified, modern portfolios and the alternatives their high-net-worth clients are asking for,” said Dana D’Auria, Co-Chief Investment Officer and Group President of Envestnet Solutions.
“With more than half of alternative assets already held by high-net-worth and affluent investors—and advisor allocations only expected to grow—providing expanded capabilities and access on our platform is critical as advisors construct portfolios that meet their clients’ evolving needs,” added Erik Preus, Group Head of Investment Management at Envestnet.
