Eight Former SVB Private Advisors Head to Cerity Partners
At least eight former SVB Private advisors have joined New York–based hybrid registered investment advisor (RIA) Cerity Partners in the wake of Silicon Valley Bank’s collapse earlier this month, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The SVB Private advisors who joined Cerity include Alexandera Minna Rudish, Amanda Dekki and Caroline Elizabeth Hirt, as well as former KLS Professional Advisors Group Tara Elizabeth Carley, Susan Kim Matlow, Michael McCarville, Andrew Ringwood Hoercher and Tara Damarida Vagnone.
KLS is an RIA acquired by Boston Private in 2004. SVB acquired Boston Private in 2021.
The former KLS advisors reportedly bring about $6.5 billion in client assets to Cerity, which, as of December 2021, managed $26.7 billion in discretionary assets and $18 billion in non-discretionary assets.
In addition to those joining Cerity, four other SVB advisors who came to the bank through the KLS acquisition have left the firm. Maritza Chow Young and Arthur Langhaus recently joined Simon Quick Advisors, an RIA overseeing $4.5 billion in assets.
