Dimensional Fund Advisors Expands with Large Cap Value and Real Estate ETFs
Dimensional Fund Advisors, which manages the bulk of its $540 million in assets in mutual funds and target retirement investments, has expanded its exchange-traded funds (ETF) offering with the Dimensional US Large Cap Value ETF (DFLV), with $4.9 million in assets, and the Dimensional Global Real Estate ETF (DFGR), with $5 million in assets.
The ETFs have been listed on NYSE Arca with expense ratios of 0.22% and 0.24%, respectively.
DFLV uses the traditional systematic Dimensional investment approach to equities that favors companies that tilt smaller in size and that have lower-priced shares and higher profitability relative to their peers, according to its prospectus.
DFGR invests in real estate investment trusts (REITs) and real estate operating companies of any market capitalization that are listed in either developed or emerging markets, according to its prospectus.
“Dimensional has been investing in both large cap value and real estate securities for three decades, providing capital markets expertise that we have now made available within ETFs,” Co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer Gerard O’Reilly said.
The two new listings expand Dimensional’s ETF roster to 30 funds which collectively house over $70 billion in assets under management, making the firm the largest provider of actively managed ETFs globally.
