Dextra Partners Appoints Former Blackstone VP Alisa Makhlis as CFO
Dextra Partners, a multi-strategy private equity firm focused on the middle market that launched earlier this year with $2.5 billion of investable capital, has hired former Blackstone vice president Alisa Makhlis as chief financial officer.
Makhlis will work with the firm’s six founding partners to continue to develop operational practices. She spent the last decade in ascending roles within Blackstone, most recently serving as vice president and head of investment operations in the tactical opportunities group.
“With an already sizeable capital base and distinct partnership-oriented model, (New York-based) Dextra is perfectly positioned for long-term success within the middle market, and I’m thrilled to be part of that development,” Makhlis said. “I look forward to helping the firm realize its strategic vision.”
Prior to joining Blackstone in April 2013 as a financial analyst, Makhlis began her private equity career at JP Morgan as a fund accountant.
