Crescent Capital Unveils GP Financing Solutions for Mid-Market PE Sponsors

Crescent Capital Group LP has launched Crescent GP Financing Solutions, a specialized private credit strategy designed to provide flexible, non-dilutive growth capital directly to private equity sponsors in the middle market.

The new offering will operate under Crescent’s GP-LP Solutions group, part of Crescent Private Credit, and will be led by Managing Directors Gregory Hardiman and Tom Glover. Collectively, the team has completed more than 30 customized financings for general partners, funds, and limited partners, representing approximately $4 billion in transaction volume.

The strategy aims to leverage Crescent’s more than 1,500 private equity relationships alongside its disciplined credit underwriting and structuring expertise to deliver attractive, risk-adjusted returns for a diverse investor base.

Supported strategically by Crescent’s majority owner Sun Life, the GP-LP Solutions platform will also collaborate with the investment-grade private credit business of SLC Management, Sun Life’s institutional asset management arm, which has deployed approximately $10 billion in fund and GP finance over the past decade.

Crescent’s broader private credit platform has invested more than $44 billion in capital with over 290 sponsors in its 30-year history, spanning multiple private credit asset classes. As of June 30, the firm managed about $48 billion in assets, focusing on non-investment grade credit, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Chicago, and London.
