Corient Adds $4.9B Seven Bridges Advisors
Corient has acquired a New York-based registered investment advisory firm, which oversees $4.9 billion in assets under management.
Seven Bridges Advisors, a multi-family office founded in 2011 by CEO and partner Lawrence “Larry” Cohen, provides wealth management services with a focus on private markets investing to ultra-high-net-worth clients, including families, entrepreneurs and founders, and financial services executives.
Seven Bridges Advisors includes CIO and president Ram Lee, head of Private Equity Kunj Majmudar, COO and CCO Kevin Barcelona, CTO Scott Coughlin, and partner Kate Ottino, according to the firm’s website.
Following the acquisition, Seven Bridges principals will become partners at Corient, the firm stated.
“What drew us to Corient was its partnership structure, which puts collaboration first and gives every client access to the collective expertise of the firm,” Cohen said. “This model – unique in wealth management – combined with the quality and breadth of services offered by Corient, significantly enhances what we can deliver to clients.”
In May, Corient acquired Tulsa, OK-based RIA Capital Advisors, which oversees $7.8 billion in assets under management.
Miami-based Corient Private Wealth, founded in 2020, has more than 2,700 employees overseeing a total of about $535 billion in assets under management.
