Composition Wealth Adds $930M in Assets with Two Seattle Deals

Fresh off its rebranding from Miracle Mile Advisors last week, Composition Wealth has acquired two Seattle-area wealth management firms that together oversee $930 million in client assets.

Composition Wealth’s first moves under its new banner are the acquisitions of Vinoble Group, with $630 million in assets under management, and Unionview Wealth Partners, with $300 million. These deals bring Composition’s total client assets up to $8.6 billion.

Vinoble Group brings a 15-person team led by Brian Johnson, who will join Composition Wealth as a partner, wealth advisor along with his full team. Launched in 2016 as an independent RIA after breaking away from a full-service brokerage, Vinoble’s built a client base of over 400, offering comprehensive wealth management, group benefits consulting, and tax planning.

Unionview Wealth Partners, founded in 2009, comes to Composition Wealth with managing partner Katie Pieper and partner Craig Hansop at the helm—both stepping into roles as partner, wealth advisors. The firm serves high-net-worth families with customized portfolio management and financial planning.

“These partnerships expand our presence in Seattle while staying true to our vision of bringing together accomplished advisors who share our client-first approach,” said Bruce Milam, CEO of Composition Wealth.

The move signals an aggressive push into the Pacific Northwest for the Los Angeles-based RIA. The deal bumps Composition’s footprint up to nine offices nationwide, adding to its existing Seattle presence. It’s the firm’s ninth and tenth acquisitions overall, with five in 2024 alone

The teams will operate from Composition Wealth’s Seattle office, with full integration expected by the third quarter. Los Angeles-headquartered Composition Wealth has completed six acquisitions since 2023, adding more than $2.5 billion in client assets.

MarshBerry served as financial advisor to Vinoble Group and Advisor Growth Strategies served as a transaction advisor to Unionview Wealth Partners.
