Chatham Financial Lines Up Strategic Capital Partners

Chatham Financial has secured a strategic investment from former Citigroup CEO Vikram S. Pandit, Atairos and Singapore-based investment firm GIC, bringing three long-term capital partners into the financial risk management and technology company.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Chatham’s employees will continue to hold a majority ownership stake following the transaction, which is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027.

Pandit, now chairman and CEO of The Orogen Group, will join Chatham’s board. Matt Henry will continue as CEO, while Amol Dhargalkar will remain chairman.

The investment is intended to support Chatham’s client services and expansion initiatives while preserving its long-term strategy and employee ownership structure.

“This strategic investment allows us to maintain that long-term perspective and commitment to clients as we continue to innovate and deliver powerful capital markets solutions,” Henry said.

Pandit described Chatham as an “exceptional firm” with a record of providing advice and technology to clients.“We are excited to support the Chatham team in their next chapter of growth,” he said.

The transaction follows several recent developments at Chatham. The firm completed its acquisition of Hodes Weill & Associates, a global capital advisory business specializing in real estate, infrastructure and other real assets.

Chatham also introduced Chatham Onyx, its next-generation technology platform, during its inaugural Global Client Summit in New York in June.

Founded in 1991, Chatham provides financial risk management advisory and technology services to more than 4,500 companies worldwide. The firm operates 12 offices and handles approximately $2 trillion in annual transaction volume.

Latham & Watkins LLP served as legal advisor to Chatham Financial. Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP served as legal advisor to the investors.
