Chamonix Prices $304M Project Finance CLO Backed by EM Infra Loans

Chamonix Partners Capital Management has completed its first project finance collateralized loan obligation, Chamonix Infrastructure Funding I, LLC, a $304 million transaction backed by a diversified pool of infrastructure loans, originated by Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, primarily sourced from emerging markets.

The CLO was structured through a special purpose vehicle designed to acquire the underlying assets and issue four classes of rated notes, reflecting increasing investor appetite for securitized exposure to infrastructure-linked private credit.

The portfolio spans projects across South America, North America, Asia and the Indian subcontinent, providing geographic diversification alongside exposure to essential infrastructure assets.

“We are exceptionally pleased to introduce our inaugural project finance CLO, a pivotal development that highlights our ability to source private credit and infrastructure assets for clients,” said Michael Sierko, CEO of Chamonix.

The transaction also enables capital recycling within the broader infrastructure finance ecosystem. “The successful closing of this landmark transaction allows us to recycle capital which we plan to immediately redeploy into new funding for our clients’ capital needs,” added Nasir Khan, Head of Real Assets and Global Trade Americas at Natixis CIB.
