Cerity Partners Scores with Touchdown Ventures Merger

Cerity Partners Scores with Touchdown Ventures Merger

Cerity Partners, an independent wealth management firm, and Touchdown Ventures, an advisory service for corporate venture programs, have merged. Touchdown will operate as Cerity Partners Ventures and will be integrated into the firm in conjunction with Cerity Partners’ broader service offerings following the closing in the coming weeks.

The partnership will facilitate the expansion of Cerity Partners’ offerings to corporations and businesses to include Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS). The merger will also expand Cerity Partners’ footprint in Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, while also improving its offerings to private clients and broadening access to startups.

“Our partnership with Touchdown Ventures comes during a period of significant growth for Cerity Partners and will be instrumental in deepening our offering to corporate partners,” said Kurt Miscinski, CEO of Cerity Partners.

Founded in 2009, Cerity Partners serves high-net-worth individuals and their families, businesses and leadership teams, and nonprofit organizations. Its last merger announcement was in April, when it combined with Denver-based Agility, the outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) solutions business of investment bank Perella Weinberg Partners (PWP).

Park Sutton Advisors, a Waller Helms Company, served as exclusive financial advisor to Touchdown and Nelson Mullins provided legal counsel. Lowenstein Sandler served as legal counsel for Cerity Partners.
