Captrust Adds $300M Wealth Firm in North Carolina
Two financial advisors, along with their North Carolina-based wealth management firm, which oversees about $300 million in assets under management, have joined Captrust Financial Advisors.
Raleigh, NC-based RHA Wealth, led by advisors Clark Abbott and Robert Hartinger, was founded in 2021 and provides wealth management services to over 190 high-net-worth clients, including business owners, entrepreneurs, and pre-retirees.
Abbott and Hartinger’s team includes three other team members and marks Captrust’s ninth transaction for the year.
“As we looked toward the future, it was important to find an organization that shared our commitment to clients while giving our team more ways to meet their evolving needs,” said Clark.
As part of the acquisition, the wealth firm will be moving into Captrust’s headquarters in North Carolina, which has over 590 employees, including 111 advisors.
Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Captrust’s latest addition comes shortly after the firm also acquired Winston-Salem, NC-based The Hoge-Barrett Group, which oversees about $3 billion in assets under management.
Captrust is majority owned by CEO and founder Fielding Miller and its employees, with minority investments from the Carlyle Group and GTCR.
Captrust Financial Advisors oversees a total of more than $1.2 trillion in total assets for 146,777 accounts, according to its latest Form ADV updated on September 30.
