Cantor Fitzgerald, Lincoln Launch Oil and Gas Interval Fund

Cantor Fitzgerald Asset Management and Lincoln Energy Partners have launched the Cantor Fitzgerald Energy Fund, an interval fund that gives individual investors exposure to U.S. oil and gas production with an emphasis on current income.

The publicly registered, continuously offered fund seeks to maximize risk-adjusted total return primarily by investing in U.S. oil and gas interests, including non-operated working interests, which give investors a share of a well’s revenue and costs without running operations.

As of Oct. 26, the fund held interests in about 3,000 wells and more than 200 operators across key U.S. basins, with exposure to oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids.

The strategy was previously run by Lincoln, a Colorado-based oil and gas asset manager, in a private vehicle launched Feb. 15, 2022. That vehicle merged into the new fund through a tax-free reorganization this month.

The fund is advised by Cantor Fitzgerald Energy Advisors, a joint venture that pairs Cantor’s scale, distribution network and institutional portfolio management with Lincoln’s energy investing and operating expertise.

“We are pleased to partner with Lincoln, whose specialties in U.S. oil and gas investing, disciplined underwriting, and focus on non-operated assets are highly complementary to Cantor Fitzgerald’s alternative investment platform,” said Bill Ferri, global head of asset management at Cantor Fitzgerald.

“With strong fundamentals supporting the U.S. oil and gas sector, we believe non-operated assets offer a compelling way to access project-level cash flows in a critical segment of the energy market,” added Craig Brede, managing partner at Lincoln Energy Partners.

The fund is available under the tickers CNRAX, CNRCX, CNRGX and CNRSX.
