CAIS Broadens Capital Markets Reach for FAs
CAIS, an alternative investment platform, is expanding its structured portfolio offerings through its investments platform, targeted towards financial advisors.
Through the platform, advisors will be allowed to leverage CAIS’ investments, trade execution, portfolio hedging solutions, and managed strategies capabilities.
“Market volatility and changing interest-rate expectations have created uncertainty for clients across a range of needs, from managing concentrated positions to generating income to accessing new opportunities,” said Matt Matrisian, president of Signature Estate & Investment Advisors.
The roll out of the platform comes as advisors are increasingly seeking various methods to “generate income, manage risk, and address specific portfolio objectives,” CAIS stated.
Earlier this month, asset manager Schroders teamed up with CAIS and SEI to launch the Schroders U.S. Autocallable Ladder Income ETF. The ETF seeks to generate monthly income through portfolio exposure of autocallable structures, which integrates risk management embedded into the strategy.
Recently, CAIS added strategies from roughly 40 new and existing asset managers, further expanding the range of alternative investments available through its technology platform. The additions span hedge funds, infrastructure, and real estate.
In July, the platform raised $170 million in its Series D funding round, which was led by Vista Equity Partners. The round valued CAIS at over $2 billion and brought its total capital to nearly $600 million.
New York-based CAIS roughly $8.5 trillion in client assets and supports more than 65,000 advisors across 2,500 wealth-management firms.
