CAIS Adds Reverence Capital Partners Funds to Its Alts Platform

CAIS Capital LLC, a tech platform for financial advisers and alternative asset managers, announced its offerings will soon include a selection of alternative investment strategies from middle market private equity firm Reverence Capital Partners.

The partnership will give registered investment advisors and independent broker-dealers access to Reverence Capital’s funds, which have undergone a third-party due diligence approval by Mercer. CAIS will also offer advisors educational courses for each Reverence fund through the CAIS IQ education platform.

“Through our experience across asset and wealth management, we’ve seen the challenges associated with accessing and selecting quality private market products,” said Milton Berlinski, managing partner at Reverence. “CAIS is uniquely positioned to provide the technological and educational resources to help tackle these concerns.”

A recent CAIS/Mercer study shows that about 88% of financial advisors intend to increase their allocations to alternative asset classes over the next two years.

“With allocations to alternatives expected to continue rising in 2023, we believe that adding additional quality alternative products on the CAIS Platform is essential to empowering advisors to gain confidence in meeting client expectations,” said Matt Brown, founder and chief executive officer of CAIS.

Reverence participated in a $340mn raise by CAIS in 2022, led by Apollo, Motive Partners and Franklin Templeton, giving the platform more than a $1 billion valuation.

Founded in 2009, CAIS serves more than 7,400 advisory firms and teams that oversee a total of more than $3 trillion in assets, while Reverence manages roughly $8 billion.
