Bow River Capital Hires Trio of Investment Executives for Newly Launched Private Credit Team
Alternative assets manager Bow River Capital hired three investment executives to launch a new private credit team.
Telamon Capital founder Eli Muraidekh, former Yukon Partners principal Aaron Arnett and ex-Strategic Capital Partners vice president Joshua Apfel form the team, while the firm’s private credit investment committee now includes ex-Alcentra CEO and Bow River Capital advisor Jonathan DeSimone, along with president Richard Thackray and managing director Jeremy Held.
Muraidekh, who will lead the team, was previously an investment director with BlueBay Asset Management and an executive director of the principal investment area of Goldman Sachs.
“We believe there is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to provide private credit across the capital structure to middle market companies, particularly those in the Rodeo Region where Bow River has developed deep relationships over the past 20 years,” said Muraidekh.
Denver-based Bow River Capital raised more than $600 million for the final close of its second dedicated software growth equity fund in May, beating its $500 million target.
The new vehicle is the firm’s biggest fund of any strategy to date, as well as being almost four times the size of its debut vehicle in the strategy, which closed at $160 million in 2019.
Bow River invests across private equity, real estate and software growth equity, and also runs an evergreen strategy.
