Blackstone Infrastructure Strategies (BXINFRA), a fund sponsored by Blackstone aimed at providing qualified individual investors access to its infrastructure platform, has secured over $1 billion, according to a recent SEC filing.
On January 2, BXINFRA, which primarily invests in infrastructure equity, secondaries, and credit strategies, sold unregistered limited partnership units of the fund for a total value exceeding $1 billion. In relation to the fund’s initial closing, a segment of the total consideration utilized to acquire units for acquiring investors was provided by the sponsor from its own assets.
BXINFRA’s sponsor, Blackstone, is the world’s largest alternative asset manager, with over $1.1 trillion in assets under management and more than $100 billion assets under management across infrastructure strategies.
