Blackstone Private Wealth Appoints Jennifer Abate to Lead RIA Channel
Blackstone Private Wealth has named Jennifer Abate as Senior Managing Director and Head of its Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel. Based in New York, Abate will spearhead the RIA channel’s strategy and oversee home office coverage and sales across Blackstone’s U.S. offices, including New York, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco/Bay Area, and Tampa.
Abate’s appointment coincides with the launch of the Blackstone Private Multi-Asset Credit and Income Fund (BMACX), the firm’s first private multi-asset credit interval fund targeting the RIA market.
“It’s great to welcome Jen to the firm,” said Joe Lohrer, senior managing director at Blackstone Private Wealth Management. “As we continue our mission to bring institutional-quality investing to individual investors via their advisors, RIAs are a key channel for us to broaden our reach.”
Abate brings over 30 years of experience from Lazard Asset Management, where she most recently served as managing director, leading the Financial Institutions Group.
“Blackstone’s scale and track record across private equity, private real estate, private credit, and infrastructure make it a one-stop shop for private markets. I look forward to joining this exceptional group and supporting advisors and investors,” said Abate.
Blackstone’s private wealth business, launched 13 years ago, manages $270 billion in assets. Executives recently shared with shareholders that the firm anticipates significant growth, particularly through integrated private market solutions, positioning RIAs as a key distribution channel.
