Beale Infrastructure Launches $3B Kansas Data Center Campus
Beale Infrastructure is set to break ground this month on the first phase of its De Soto, Kansas data center campus, marking the first hyperscale data center to be announced in the state. The initial phase will include at least two facilities and supporting infrastructure, laying the groundwork for what the company envisions as a multi-building, large-scale digital hub for the region.
At full buildout, the campus is expected to total four buildings and more than one million square feet, with an estimated development value of $3 billion. The first phase alone is projected to add hundreds of construction jobs and roughly 50 permanent operational roles.
Beale will privately fund all major project infrastructure, including power delivery, water systems, and site improvements, signaling a long-term commitment to the location and a willingness to underwrite critical backbone investments. The project is backed by a partnership with Evergy, which will provide power service and deliver developer-funded infrastructure designed to align with the region’s growth and grid reliability objectives.
Once complete, the De Soto campus will host a large, undisclosed technology company tenant under a long-term lease.
