Beacon Pointe Advisors Expands Mid-Atlantic Presence with Acquisition of The Family Firm
Beacon Pointe Advisors has acquired The Family Firm, an $857 million advisory practice headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, marking the firm’s 10th acquisition of 2025 and strengthening its footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region. The deal also underscores Beacon Pointe’s dedication to female-led leadership, community engagement, and long-term client relationships.
The Family Firm’s team of 10 professionals, led by partners Kate Fries and Stacy Bakri, will continue delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to clients while gaining access to Beacon Pointe’s allWEALTH platform and national network of advisors.

The transaction formally closed on September 15, 2025, with Alaris Acquisitions serving as the exclusive advisor to The Family Firm.
Following the deal, Beacon Pointe Advisors now oversees approximately $49 billion in client assets, supported by a 600-member team across more than 75 offices nationwide, further cementing its position as one of the largest female-led RIAs in the country.
