Beacon Capital Management Acquires Astor Investment Management
Beacon Capital Management has agreed to acquire Chicago-based Astor Investment Management, adding approximately $1 billion in assets under management across SMAs, UMAs, and mutual funds. The deal is expected to close in August 2025.
The transaction expands Beacon’s product lineup with Astor’s macroeconomic, rules-based risk management strategies, which will complement Beacon’s existing data-driven investment approach. As part of the integration, Astor CIO Jan Eckstein will join Beacon as AVP, Portfolio Design, and will serve on Beacon’s Investment Committee alongside Astor CEO Bryan Novak.
“This acquisition aligns with our strategic growth objectives and strengthens our ability to deliver sophisticated solutions to financial advisors,” said Emily Damman, president of Beacon Capital Management.
The deal comes as Beacon continues to scale its platform, following the recent launch of its Market Portfolio, investment team expansion, and additional practice management and advisor support initiatives.
Post-close, Astor client portfolios will continue to be managed under the same rules-based investment discipline, while Astor advisors will gain access to Beacon’s broader distribution platform, marketing resources, sales support, and client communication tools.
