Arca Selects Altruist for AI-Powered Custody Platform
Arca has selected Altruist as its preferred custodian and technology partner, integrating the custodian’s real-time application programming interface into its proprietary artificial intelligence platform.
The integration will allow Arca’s AI agents to support account administration and other operational workflows, reducing manual tasks for advisors while maintaining human oversight of client relationships.
Arca emerged from stealth in June with more than $1 billion in client assets and $64 million in total funding. That included a $48.5 million financing led by General Catalyst, with participation from Index Ventures and Venrock.
Founded by former Plaid product leader Rron Rexha, the New York-based company is building a wealth management platform through a combination of acquisitions and internally developed software. Arca targets households with increasingly complex planning needs and uses AI to automate administrative work rather than replace advisors.
“The future of wealth management isn’t about replacing advisors — it’s about removing the operational complexity that prevents them from delivering truly personalized advice at scale,” Rexha said.
Arca is the first company in what Altruist described as a growing group of technology-focused advisory firms using its Realtime Custodial API. Additional firms are expected to adopt the technology later this year.
“Arca represents a new category of wealth management firms,” Altruist founder and CEO Jason Wenk said, pointing to its acquisition strategy and proprietary technology.
Wenk is also an investor in Arca and serves on its board, creating a direct strategic connection between the two companies.
