Apotheo Capital Launches as Financial and Alts Firm
Three partners formerly affiliated with private equity firm Delos Capital have launched New York-based Apotheo Capital, a hybrid financial advisory and private capital firm, which focuses on “complex” financial situations.
Apotheo Capital is backed by an unnamed family office and has received growth and seed capital, which will go towards investments and access to a network of institutional partners, enabling the firm to invest as a principal.
Lefkovits joins Apotheo as founder and managing partner, and Chong and Loysty have joined as co-founders. Additionally, Ross Weiner has joined the firm as a partner, and Kate Ditchfield serves as the firm’s chief of staff, a company spokesperson said to Connect Money.
Weiner most recently served as an investment manager at Millennium Management, and Ditchfield was the CEO of TaskWave, a management platform, according to their LinkedIn profiles.
“We believe that aligning investment banking services with long-term outcomes, rather than closing a single transaction, will lead to better results and relationships,” Chong said to Connect Money. “We built Apotheo to deliver that; we offer deep expertise, senior judgment, and capital to invest alongside our clients.”
Apotheo’s formation initially started in late 2025, after an investor approached the team with “the opportunity to raise capital to fund growth of the business and new investments,” the spokesperson said.
“The team has been operating successfully for close to two years, and the ability to launch our own firm with a focus on special situations advisory and capital made a lot of sense.”
The firm’s financial advisory capabilities span across M&A, debt and equity financing, restructurings, liability management, and capital solutions.
“We stand alongside our clients and partners. When they succeed, we succeed,” Losty said in a statement. “Our approach is to start with the situation and then build the right solution, whether that involves our strategic advice, capital, or both.”
