Apollo Global Management, Schroders Combine Products to Target Wealthy Investors
Apollo Global Management and Schroders have joined forces to sell wealth and retirement-related investment solutions targeted towards wealthy investors, as asset managers continue to offer products within private markets.
Under the partnership, both firms will incorporate solutions blending public and private market fixed income exposures, which will be sold across Schroders’ brand, including its private markets unit Schroders Capital, and Apollo, the firm said.
The first product is expected to launch later this year, and both firms seek to launch a Collective Investment Trust in the U.S., designed for the DC pension market, in the second quarter.
As part of the collaboration, Schroders will have the opportunity to allocate to Apollo funds from certain existing client portfolios.
“This partnership is highly complementary, delivering the best of Schroders and Apollo to deliver better outcomes for our clients,” Richard Oldfield, Schroders Group’s chief executive, said. “It has the potential to offer clients something truly different; innovative investment solutions with the potential to deliver robust, resilient returns, encompassing offerings across the wealth and retirement landscape in the U.K. and the U.S.”
The two firms join multiple asset managers that are aiming to launch more products and offerings that provide increased access to private markets. Recently, BlackRock and Partners Group teamed up to launch multi-alternatives SMAs that are designed to help financial advisors align client objectives with private market exposure.
This year, private wealth investors are preparing to deepen their exposure to private markets, as demand from clients for more diversified portfolio options grows. About 86% of private wealth professionals plan to increase private market allocations this year, according to Hamilton Lane’s 2026 Global Private Wealth survey.
