Aphorio Carter Pays $35M for Two Kentucky Data Centers
Aphorio Carter Critical Infrastructure Fund, LLC, a 506(c) private placement offering focused on infrastructure and data center investments, announced the acquisition of two data centers in Kentucky, the Louisville Data Center and the Simpsonville Data Center, for approximately $35 million.
Both properties, built in 2011, each have 1,000 kW of critical power. They are Tier III LEED Gold-certified and span 102,500 square feet. The properties are leased to the same unnamed Fortune 200 tenant.
“Louisville is emerging as a prime data center market, offering a strategic blend of low operating costs, robust fiber infrastructure, and access to major markets like Chicago and Atlanta,” said John Regan, CIO of Aphorio Carter.
Aphorio Carter, a Carter Funds company, invests in income-producing, mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, and other high-growth, technology-related real estate. The acquisition of the Louisville and Simpsonville data centers marks the firm’s eighth and ninth deals, bringing its total assets under management to approximately $238 million.
Last August, Aphorio Carter acquired The Centennial Data Center in Centennial, CO for approximately $7.3 million.
