Andros Closes Third Energy Fund at $1B
Andros Capital Partners LLC announced the successful closing of its third energy fund, Andros Energy Capital III LP, at its hard cap of $1 billion. The fund continues the firm’s focus on energy sector investments, targeting private equity, credit opportunities, and direct asset-level investments.
The fund maintains a flexible, opportunistic investment approach, allowing Andros to engage across the capital structure in both public and private securities, supported by its established industry partnerships and expertise in energy asset development.
Phillip A. Gayle, Jr., the firm’s founder and managing partner, emphasized their commitment to responsibly acquiring and developing oil and gas assets, driven by sustained hydrocarbon demand.
Founded in 2020, Andros is a private investment firm based in Houston, TX with over $2 billion in cumulative equity commitments. In January 2023, the firm announced the closing of its second energy fund, Andros Energy Capital II, at its $750 million hard cap.
Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP served as legal counsel to Andros in connection with the formation of Fund III. Andros did not engage a placement agent or any outside advisor in connection with the capital raise.
