Altriarch Launches Private Credit Fund for Asset-Backed Lenders
Altriarch Asset Management, a private credit asset manager, announced its new structured capital investment strategy called the “New Strategy”. The New Strategy will deploy capital to factors and asset-backed lending companies, with a focus on senior secured facilities, mezzanine facilities and participating capital.
The Charleston, SC-based company provides investors, including institutional investors and family offices, with access to various investment opportunities. Altriarch identifies investment strategies that it believes will offer differentiation, access to high barriers to entry markets, non-correlation to traditional assets and risk mitigation.
“We believe the unmet capital requirements of small businesses represent an opportunity for non-bank and alternative lending originators. In particular, we believe factoring has become an established asset class, matching the needs of yield seeking investors to companies in need of working capital to grow,” said Danielle Brown, Altriarch principal.
According to Altriarch, factoring and other asset-backed lending organizations, which comprise a combined $404 billion annual market sector, are qualified to fill the gap between small firms and traditional banking institutions who are becoming increasingly risk averse, as alternative lenders become more popular for businesses seeking loans.
