One of the largest shifts of wealth in history is putting women in control of a growing share of America’s investable assets, through inheritance from spouses and parents, business ownership and their own careers. That shift is challenging an industry long built around male clients to rethink how it advises, educates and earns the trust of a new generation of decisionmakers. For the alternative investment space the stakes are especially high.

At the recent ADISA conference in Las Vegas, Connect Money asked the CEO of ADISA, Jade Miller, how the transfer is reshaping financial services, what advisors and sponsors need to understand about the women taking control of this wealth, and how ADISA is helping its members prepare to serve them.
