$29B MAI Capital Management Partners with iCapital to Enhance Custom Alts Platform 

MAI Capital Management has announced a partnership with global fintech platform iCapital to enable its in-house investment team to view, manage and administer clients’ alternative investments. Included in the partnership, iCapital will assist MAI in reconciling investment and fund data, simplifying document management and conducting accounting activities. 

This development ultimately allows MAI’s investment committee to focus on in-house fund selection and related due diligence while iCapital will manage associated oversight functions, supporting operations and efficiency for MAI’s advisors and clients. iCapital has also agreed to manage a set of existing funds currently managed by MAI. 

“We took great care in selecting a technology partner to support and scale our alternatives business and felt a natural fit with the team at iCapital,” said MAI’s CIO and managing partner, Kurt Nye. “Our focus is to build and manage bespoke portfolios built to preserve and create wealth across generations. 

MAI specializes in comprehensive financial planning and investment management for individuals and families. It delivers financial and estate planning, investment management, tax planning, insurance, accounting, and philanthropic strategies.
