$220M Father-Son Wealth Team Moves to LPL

LPL Financial LLC announced that Trimp Wealth Management, led by father-and-son financial advisors Patrick Trimp and Jack Trimp, joined its broker-dealer, registered investment advisor and custodial platforms. The Idaho Falls-based team, previously affiliated with Nations Financial Group, Inc., reported managing approximately $220 million in advisory, brokerage, and retirement plan assets as of the end of 2024.

Patrick Trimp, a former U.S. Navy veteran with nuclear power training, established Trimp Wealth Management in 2008. His son Jack joined the practice in 2019. The team chose LPL Financial after a three-year search, citing the firm’s integrated platform and open architecture as key factors in their decision.

The move to LPL provides Trimp Wealth Management with access to LPL’s integrated technology, including tools for portfolio management and client reporting, and a broader range of investment options.

Scott Posner, LPL’s EVP of business development, highlighted the firm’s commitment to supporting the Trimps with innovative resources to enhance their practice and client experience. This aligns with LPL’s growth in the advisor-mediated market, supporting nearly 29,000 advisors and $1.7 trillion in assets nationwide.

Trimp Wealth Management joins other recent LPL recruits, including Townsgate Wealth Management, a Westlake Village, CA-based team, managing approximately $1.15 billion in assets, and Legacy Premier Wealth Management, $275 million firm in Colorado.
