$180M Wealth Firm Joins GCG Advisory Partners in Tennessee
Charlotte, NC-based GCG Advisory Partners has added a Tennessee-based advisory firm, which manages $180 million in total client assets.
Knoxville, TN-based Head Investment Partners, founded in 2016, is led by managing director Daniel Head and offers wealth management services, including financial planning, portfolio management, retirement planning, and asset allocation strategies.
The team also includes VP of marketing and operations Carleen Head, portfolio manager and lead analyst Jonathan Hayes, and is supported by client services assistants Tabitha Graham and Alaina Tipton, per the firm’s website.
Following the transition to GCG, Head has joined the firm as an operating and equity partner, and his team will gain access to GCG’s broader suite of tools, including technology, operational support, marketing resources, and capital for continued growth, GCG said.
Additionally, Head Investment Partners will maintain its brand, and the team will continue to manage daily operations.
“I evaluated many options, including private equity aggregators, broker-dealers, and other RIA platforms, but ultimately it came down to culture and shared values,” Head said. “GCG was the only partner that wanted to build on what we’ve created rather than change it. Its platform expands what we can deliver to our clients, with the depth of resources to deepen relationships across our business-owner network and create lasting value for the families we serve.”
Specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In May, GCG acquired St. Louis-based Gateway Capital Advisors, which oversees roughly $400 million in assets under management.
GCG Advisory Partners, the parent company of GCG Wealth Management, offers GCG acquisition, succession, and liquidity deals for advisors, the firm said.
