$1.3B Ex-UBS FAs Launch RIA with Elevation Point in Atlanta

A group of former advisors from UBS Wealth Management has formed their own registered investment advisor firm through Elevation Point.

Elevation Point has taken a minority stake in Atlanta-based Harbor View Private Wealth, a wealth management firm with $1.3 billion in assets under management.

Harbor View Private Wealth is led by founding partners Daniel Emerson, Angelo Esposito Jr., Scott Emerson, James Malatos, and David Randall.

The firm was originally co-founded by Daniel and Scott Emerson and Esposito as an affiliate of UBS in 2019. Before that, the three served as senior vice presidents and wealth advisors with Merrill Lynch for over a decade, Elevation Point said.

The eight-member team provides “customized” financial strategies, including estate and legacy planning, risk management, tax strategy integration, educational services, insurance reviews, business and liquidity event planning for corporate executives and their families.

Harbor View will custody client assets with Goldman Sachs, through Elevation Point’s relationship with Goldman Sachs Custody Solutions, the firm said.

In September, Elevation Point expanded its existing partnership with Goldman Sachs to provide advisors with access to Goldman’s banking, lending, trading, asset management, and capital markets services.

Under the partnership, Goldman Sachs will act as a primary provider of lending solutions, direct indexing, custom open-architecture models, fixed income SMAs, and capital markets support.

“Our team is committed to staying ahead of the rapidly changing wealth management landscape, ensuring we can meet the diverse and evolving needs of our high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients,” Daniel Emerson said. “Launching an independent firm with the support of Elevation Point allows us to offer tailored solutions that go beyond traditional investment portfolios. By leveraging a broad array of resources and tools, we’re able to deliver comprehensive, personalized strategies that support our clients’ financial goals at every stage.”

Harbor View also includes director of client experience and team administrator Stephanie Feaser, director of client engagement and wealth management advisor Kyle Hammond, and director of wealth planning and client service associate Natalie Quinn.

Recently, Elevation Point has also taken a minority stake in Tequesta, FL-based Loxahatchee Capital, which oversees about $1.4 billion in assets under management. The team was formerly affiliated with UBS Wealth Management.

Following the RIA’s recent breakaway addition, the firm has invested in nine firms representing around $11 billion in client assets.
